two twiddlebugs: January 2012

Giggles and laughter filled our home on Saturday as we celebrated Kaelyn's first birthday party. Kaelyn had a blast and we think our guests did as well. The party was very...well...pink! I heard once that you got to pick the theme for your child's first birthday party and then they will from there on...so I embraced that idea. Pink, fuchsia, and ivory colors filled the house and may have been obnoxious to some...but beautiful to me! I had a lot of favorites that day...I loved seeing Kaelyn in her PINK tutu, watching Hunter give everyone a tour and then play constantly with his buddies Owen, Austin, Keira, and Lucy, Kaelyn with her new friends, Julia, Elle, Cooper and Zoe. I loved seeing Hunter sing to Kaelyn and touch her tummy just to have her grin in joy as if she knew everyone was singing and celebrating her...which we were! I loved watching Kaelyn hug and snuggle Elle over and over...I'm amazed at such a young age how babies can recognize babies they already know :) I loved seeing Kaelyn cuddle and snuggle her baby cousin Cooper, who, sooner than later, will begin to recognize his cousins too! I loved that the party was in our new home, which we enjoy every day. I loved spending time with friends and family who remind us how blessed we are everyday and who I couldn't imagine my life without. I loved that Sam and Anne drove all the way there! I loved watching Kaelyn mount her new princess ride on before it was even out of the box because she was sooo overwhelmingly excited and likewise, climb in her princess cozy coupe and scoot around! I loved watching Kaelyn stomp her feet as such a typical toddler because she wanted something immediately. Most of all...I love that Kaelyn has become such an amazing, wonderful, sweet, loving, snuggly, strong-willed, one-year-old!
